Once Upon a Broke Time

The year 2020 was a wild year at the very start. I had just moved back to Phoenix, AZ (My Home Town) from Los Angeles, Ca where I had been living for the past 5 yrs. Things were going great with a new job & car till Covid came & changed things up. During the lockdown I had a lot of extra time on my hands so I decided to remodel one room at a time in my parents house. They loved antique furniture and soon i discovered I couldnt just go online to shop for what I wanted like you could new furniture online. I didnt want to go out in the public and take the risk of getting Covid and most Vintage stores were closed. This was an issue & I knew from seeing so much vintage post online I couldnt be the only one facing this issue. That’s when I decided to start my own online vintage decor & furniture boutique.

During that time, I quickly saw how expensive vintage furniture was & decided to name my business on how I felt.

Broke with Expensive Taste was born! Within 72hrs I created my website, trademarked my name & launched with a handful of products. I then promised I would keep my prices realistic so you would never need to choose between your Style & bills again! More importantly, keep as many residents safe at home by providing bold, dramatic but functional pre-loved furnishings online, Not only was I helping my community stay safe shopping at homebut pre-loved furniture saves the earth a little by keeping one less piece from going into landfills. Not to mention saving you time, money with the way gas prices shot up. I strive to reuse as much as I can even shipping all my packages in already used boxes and shipping materials to save cost as well. 

With this busiesss I hope I kept some of my customers safe from becoming sick and save some money while I go out across Arizona looking for vintage pieces, bring them to Phoenix and get them ready for a good forever home.  Which is why i provide services like contactless Curbside Delivery, Contactless order Pickup and provide payment plans through Paypal.
